Kat Neis
co-founder & editor in chief

Born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Kat is a writer, poet, and editor. She has been involved in the creative world for several years with her poetry and creative nonfiction recognized by The Academy of American Poets, The Dyer-Ives Foundation, and The College of Wooster. Her poetry has appeared in Zone 3, Tinderbox Poetry Journal, and Equinox: Poetry and Prose. A freelance writer as well, Kat's journalistic endeavors have appeared in Dressage Today Magazine and Fédération Equestre Internationale. She co-founded Siblíní as a junior in high school and hopes to continue it well into the future. 

 

Betsy Neis
co-founder & managing editor

Betsy is a freelance filmmaker, photographer, and fashion illustrator. Her work has been recognized by the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, and in the last few years, she has pursued her interests in film and video production. Betsy made her directing debut in 2016, but since then focused her interests onto cinematography. She has continued to work on films, one even debuting at Cannes Film Festival in 2017. She co-founded Siblíní as a freshman in high school and is excited to help this creative space continue to grow.
